    Cumberland Coal Corporation, 2000 Auburn Drive, Suite 200, Beachwood, OH  44122 is applying to the Virginia Division of Mined land Reclamation for a Renewal of PERMIT No. 1402416, in order to continue the operations at the following location.

   The permit is located 2 miles NW of Imboden on Bearpen Branch at Coordinates North 3,516,430.6097 and East 10,215,953.0109 on the Appalachia Quadrangle, near Routes 68 and 160.

    Drainage will be discharged as follows: The receiving stream is Bearpen Branch. The type of discharge is storm water. There are no NPDES points remaining on the site.

   Any person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by this proposal, or an officer or head of any federal, state or local government agency or authority, may within 30 days of October 20, 2026 submit written comments or objections concerning this application, and may also request, in writing, that the Mined Land Repurposing Program hold an Informal Conference concerning this application.
