NOTICE OF

 PUBLIC HEARING

     The City Council of the City of Norton, Virginia will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, October 6, at 5:00 p.m., in the Municipal Council Chambers, located at 618 Virginia Avenue, N.W., Norton, Virginia.  The purpose of the hearing is to solicit input on A Real Estate Tax levy of $ .89 per $l00.00 assessed valuation of all taxable real estate, mobile homes and public utilities (at l00% assessment) with improvements thereon.  Note the present tax rate of $ .90 per $l00.00.  

    Information regarding the proposed amendment is available for inspection on Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the City Manager’s Office, or at www.nortonva.gov. Attendance and comment at the meeting is encouraged and welcomed.
