The object of this suit is to enforce the lien of the Complainant, County of Wise, Virginia, for delinquent real estate taxes against certain real property located in the County of Wise, Virginia, described as follows:

All those two (2) certain lots, pieces, or parcels of real property, lying and being situate in the Town of Appalachia, Wise County, Virginia, designated and described as follows, to-wit:

TAX ID NO. 018495

Lots Numbered Eight (8) and Nine (9), Block No. 35 on a plat with certificate by Keystone Coal and Iron Company, known as "Block No. 6 of Appalachia" and recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of Wise County, Virginia as Instrument Number 201405586.

EXCEPTING AND RESERVING, nevertheless, all the coal, iron, and other minerals in, on, and underlying the premises hereby conveyed; mining rights and the timber for mining purposes, such as were conveyed by Joseph Kilbourn to E. K. Hyndman, and by the said Hyndman to the Virginia Coal and Iron Company.

And being the same real property conveyed to Clarence Willis from Miners Exchange Bank, a Virginia Corporation, by Deed dated April 24, 2013, and recorded April 26, 2013, among the records of the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of Wise County, Virginia as Instrument Number 201301210.

This description is made subject to all easements, conditions, agreements, restrictions, and reservations of record which affect the property herein described including but not limited to those recorded in Instrument Number 201405586.

IT APPEARING that an Affidavit has been made and filed stating that due diligence has been used, without effect, to ascertain the identity and location of certain parties to be served, that the last known addresses for the Respondents herein are as follows: Clarence Willis, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is 407 Market Street, Clintwood, Virginia 24228; Betty Jean Willis Johnson, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is 2045 Valley View Drive, Big Stone Gap, Virginia 24219; Christine Willis Turner, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Peggy Sue Willis Williams, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Ashley Pauline Gaulke, whose last known address is unknown; Earnest James Williams, whose last known address is unknown; and that any officers, heirs, devisees, and successors in title of the Respondent named herein are made parties Respondent to this action individually and/or by the general description of Parties Unknown, it is hereby

ORDERED that the parties herein and all Parties Unknown and/or whose location cannot be ascertained appear on or before August 24, 2026 in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of the County of Wise, Virginia, and do what may be necessary to protect their interests in this cause.
