Cumberland Coal Corporation, P.O. Box 2007, Pikeville KY 41502 is applying to the Virginia Division of Mined Land Reclamation for a Renewal of PERMIT No. 1202407, in order to continue the operations at the following location.

Guest Mt. No. 3 Mine permit area is approximately 11.67 acres. The operation is located in Wise County, 2 miles North of Roda in Sawmill Hollow on Mud Lick Creek at coordinates North 3,550,391.6946 East 10,220,883.1222 The Appalachia, Virginia USGS 7.5-minute topographic quadrangle map was used to describe the permit location.

The discharge resulting from the permitted operation is existing.

Any person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by this proposal, or an officer or head of any federal, state or local government agency or authority, may within 30 days of July 17, 2026 submit written comments or objections concerning this application, and may also request, in writing, that the Mined Land Repurposing Program hold an Informal Conference concerning this application.
