TROY MCKINEY BROWN

August 25, 1933 - December 13, 2025

2 Timothy 4:7  "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith,"

Troy McKinley Brown, 92, of Coeburn, VA completed his course and finished his race Saturday, December 13, 2025. Troy was born on August 25, 1933, in Norton, VA to the late Mack McKinley Brown and Viola Wagner Brown.

Troy was of the Apostolic faith and had fought many battles and overcame great struggles and faced much sorrow during his many years on this earth. He was quick to share the Good News of his Savior with those he met.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by His beautiful wife of sixty-three years, Helen Green-Brown; sons, Roger Brown, and Donnie Brown SR; daughter, Ruby Brown; brothers, Hobart Brown and Monroe Brown; sisters, Doris Sexton, Ruth Collins, and Evelyn Adams.

He is survived by his beloved sister, Jane Roberts; sons, Stevie (Robin) Brown, Troy (D) Brown; daughter, Nina Brown (Wayne) Johnson; seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and two great- great grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm with Pastor Ricky Oakes officiating. Burial will follow in Kiser-Jackson Cemetery, Herald RD Coeburn, VA.
