KATHLEEN BOGGS

WISE, VA – Kathleen Boggs, 99, died Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at her home. She was a basketball player at East Stone Gap High School. Kathleen was an avid bowler and participated in the leagues at Hillcrest Lanes in Norton. She volunteered at Norton Community Hospital as an auxiliary worker. She was a member of Guest River Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Erwin Boggs; a sister, Mae Rose; two brothers, Ralph Fraley and Charles Fraley.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Boggs and his wife Nila of Kingsport, Tn. and James Ray Boggs and his wife Janice of Wise, Va.; three grandchildren, Shawna Boggs, Whitney Mullins and her husband Daniel and Jonathan Neal Castle; seven great grandchildren, Waylon, Dakota, Taylor, Kylee, Maria, Jared and McKenna; two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Darrell Bolling officiating. Graveside committal services will be conducted at 11 am Monday, May 5, 2025, at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:30 am to travel in procession to the cemetery.
