County, city: 84 new cases

Wise County reported 75 new COVID-19 cases between Oct. 31 and Tuesday.

According to Virginia Department of Health statistics, the county’s total number of cases since spring 2020 was 14,897 as of Tuesday, compared to 14,822 one week earlier.

Wise County’s total number of COVID deaths remained at 241.

The department’s cumulative positive case count for Norton increased by nine, from 1,702 to 1,711

The city’s total number of deaths remained at 22.
