SHARON LOUISE DEAN

Sharon Louise Dean, 73, entered into eternal rest on September 5, 2023, at John Randolph hospital, Hopewell, Virginia where she resided. She was born on September 26, 1949, and grew up on Guest River in Norton, Virginia but lived in many places across the world during her lifetime.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Cleo Dean, her brother Larry Joe Dean, and her husband, Clayton Stidham. She leaves behind her children, Jeff Stidham (Gina), Scott Stidham, Melinda Russell (Rick) and Sonja Ashman (Jimmy) to remember her, along with grandchildren Nate Stidham (Courtney Means), Kaitlyn Schilling (Colby), Strand Hill, Tresa Ashman (Dylan Sterpka), Ryan Ashman and Kai Russell. Additionally, her brothers and sisters, Tim Dean (Pat Short), Johnny Dean (Janice), Jean Slone (Danny), Diane Greene and Greg Dean (Linda) as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Her children will be traveling to Norton, Virginia for a Celebration of Life with friends and family on Saturday, October 21st at Freedom of Worship Church Fellowship Hall at 5456 Thacker’s Branch Road, Norton, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The family asks that you drop in to join them in honoring her memory and love of life.
