Eighteen cases in a week

Wise County reported 17 new COVID-19 cases between April 11 and Tuesday.

According to Virginia Department of Health statistics, the county’s total number of cases since spring 2020 was 14,071 as of Tuesday, compared to 14,054 one week earlier.
Wise County’s total number of COVID deaths remained at 238.

The department’s cumulative positive case count for Norton increased by one, from 1,621 to 1,622.
The city’s total number of deaths remained at 22.
