EDITH JEAN WALTERS

Edith Jean Walters, age 76, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Harrisburg Hospital. Born June 11, 1946 in Norton, VA, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Edith (Redman) Lawson.

Jean was a graduate of John I. Burton High School in Norton, VA, and worked brieflyafter graduation for the FBI during which time she met her future husband. She later went on to work for Bell Telephone before settling in PA. She was a longtime member of Christian Life Assembly and often sang in the church choir. In her free time, she enjoyed collecting snowmen and bears as well as creating small crafts such as crosses which she would share with people.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael F. Walters. Jean is survived by her sons, Seth Walters and Steven Walters, and by her sister, Betty Carol Angel.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 28 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg where there will be a viewing from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, December 27. Entombment will take place in Rolling Green Cemetery.
