FOY RAY HUBBARD

Foy Ray Hubbard, 76, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at his home.
He served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany during the Vietnam War and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Foy was a skilled stained glass artisan and loved tinkering with all things electronic. He never lost his curiosity for everything and gladly shared his knowledge with anyone and everyone. A hippie at heart, he recognized the irony in all things.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson and Macel (Zella) Hubbard; and a sister, Edna Fern Reed.
Surviving are his daughters, Emily Sampson and husband Adam and Amy McKinney and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Will and Lily Sampson; brother, Randall Hubbard and wife Mimi; sister, Macel Holloway and husband Donnie; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. “To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under Heaven.”
Per his request there will be no formal service. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to www.pawsswva.org or PAWS of SWVA P.O. Box 576 Coeburn, VA 24230. Please visit www.sturgillfuneral.com to leave online condolences for the family.
