EWING “EGORE” PHILLIPS

NORTON, VA – Ewing Claude “Egore” Phillips, 65, went to his eternal home Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022. He was greeted there by his father, Claude Phillips, and welcomed with open arms by his mother, Carol Phillips. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and a welder for 45 years and in his spare time had several hobbies including woodworking and building his own trike. He was with the woman he loved since he was 15 and was married to her for 45 years. There wasn't a place you could go that someone didn't call his name, "Hey there, Egore!" He was a big, bright light and was known and loved by so many.
Ewing was preceded in death by his father, Claude Phillips, and his mother, Carol Phillips.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Phillips, their four children, Shannah Miller and her husband Garrick, Garrett Phillips, Matthew Phillips, Andrea Stewart and her husband John, his five siblings Ronald Phillips, Barbara Herron and her husband Joe, Betty Sargent, Terry Phillips, and Melinda Bryant and her husband Billy, his five grandchildren Michael Miller, Samantha Miller, Tyson Blair, Drayden Blair, Bentlee Blair, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 7 pm Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Darrell Bolling officiating.
