WILLIE MEADE

Willie Lorene Jordan Meade, 82, of Rural Hall, NC, went home to be with the Lord peacefully, Tuesday evening, February 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Willie was born on August 29, 1939 in Coeburn, VA to the late Theodore and Mabel Chaffin Jordan. She was a member of Hamilton Chapel in Pound, but attended New Hope Baptist Church in Walnut Cove. She was also a member of the Quilting Club in Pound, VFW Women’s Aux., and the Kids at Heart at New Hope Baptist Church. Willie loved shopping, gardening, and decorating her home.

In addition to her parents, Willie was preceded in death by her first husband, Vollie Elmer Boggs; son, Little Elmer; daughter, Wanda; brother, Raymond; and two sisters, Peggy and Brenda.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Preston Meade; three children, Tonyia (Glenn), Connie (David), and Mark (Brenda); eight grandchildren, Kim, Debbie, Jessica, Melony, Scott, Tami, Robby, and Sasha; four sisters, Dolores, Monica, Sonya, and Teresa; and four brothers, Thomas, Teddy, Klonie, and Tivis.

There will be an 11:00 am memorial service held on Saturday, February 19 at New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Travis Howard officiating.

The family will receive friends at Mrs. Meade’s home.: 1335 Montlieu Drive, Rural Hall, NC 27045.

Social distancing guidelines will be observed, and facial coverings are required.
