CHARLES WINGLER

Charles Albert Wingler passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022. He was a Christian, a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of the Soddy Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Bettie Sue Wingler, his parents, Albert and Iva May Wingler, Salem, IN; his sisters Erma Maudlin and Bertha Brown and his brother Lloyd Winger, Salem and great-granddaughter Sofie Maine.

He is survived by his children Darlene Stanley and husband William, Norton, VA; Allen Wingler and wife Sandra, Coeburn, VA; Sharon Maine and husband Lacey, Coeburn; Charlene Large and husband Marty, Abingdon, VA; Dwayne Winger and wife LaDonna, Pikeville, TN; Karon Arnold and husband Barry, Soddy Daisy, TN; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Sunday, January 23 from 2-4 pm at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 24 at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Joel Danley officiating.

The family will have a private interment on Monday, January 24 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
