NANCY CAROL KILGORE ROBERTS

Nancy Carol Kilgore Roberts, of Wise, went to be with Our Loving Heavenly Father on Monday, December 27, 2021. 

Matthew 5:16 says, In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven. 

Nancy’s love language was to love on others, to be a witness of all the good things our Lord gives. Nothing gave her more joy than to go out of her way to make someone’s day a little brighter. She loved her Lord and wanted others to know and feel His love. For Nancy, every day was a good day to have a good day. She enjoyed the little things in life because, in reality, the little things are what mattered the most to her. Loving on her community gave her pure joy. She had a heart for Wise Primary and LF Addington Middle School children. She was known as Nae Nae to her family and the kids in her neighborhood and church. She was known as the ice cream lady in Bear Creek. She was an encourager and a prayer partner to many, the one who loved a good celebration, good food, and a good Glenda cake. When it came to a celebration, bigger was better in her mind. Every detail was to perfection. Traditions and family gatherings were her specialties; she was the glue that held our family together and through her love and light. She will continue to keep us together with her light that will forever shine in our hearts and memories. 

Her home was a reflection of what life meant to her. It was a place to rest, gather with a hearty meal, and have sweet treats. It was a place of love, laughter, and a home full of life. She was busting at the seams at family gatherings, Bear Creek Halloween celebrations, and sometimes, just a weekday night. It was warm and welcoming, just like Nancy.

She is preceded in death by her parents Reverend and Mrs. James Harold Kilgore. 

She is survived by her loving husband Jeff Roberts. Her sons Tyler Roberts and Blake Roberts along with Tyler’s wife Emily and Blake’s girlfriend Ali Parra.

Her siblings including Patti and Harold Stanley, Libby Rogers, James and Amanda Kilgore, David and Debbie Kilgore. Nieces and nephews including Kelli and Michael Collins, Gary David and Kristi McCarthy, Jamie and Brooke Kilgore and Clark Kilgore.  Great nieces and nephews including Parker and Easton Collins, Katie Beth McCarthy, Taylor Dickenson and Brantlee Dingus and Jett Kilgore.

Nancy was a beloved bonus grandmother to so many kids.
Funeral services for Nancy Roberts will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 31 at the Glamorgan Chapel, 183 Southmark Rd SW, Wise with Pastor Greg Sergent officiating. Committal services will be private. Family requests all who attend to please wear masks.
