JAMES ‘BUD’ MOORE

James Everette “Bud” Moore, age 83, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021, at his home in Coeburn. 

Bud was born in Wise County to the late Wilburn and Dolly Barker Moore. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Shelby Jean Moore, and three sons Benji Moore, Jeffery Moore, and Bobby Moore. Bud was a retired coalminer for over 35 years. He was a simple man that was dedicated to his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather that will be deeply missed. 

He is survived by his three sons Randy Thompson and wife Helen, James Moore and wife Yolonda, and Steve Moore and wife Marsha; brother Benny Moore and wife Francis; sisters Wilma Osterman and Audrey Campbell; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and special neighbor Todd Bond. 

 The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21 from the Estes Funeral Home chapel in Coeburn. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22 at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Maggard officiating. Interment will follow in the Salyer’s Cemetery.
