BENNY BLAINE HALE
Benny Blaine Hale, of Coeburn, went home to be with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ on November 3, 2021, with his family by his side.
He was a 1965 graduate of Coeburn High School, served as sergeant in the United States Army, and retired from Norfolk-Southern Railroad after 31 years of employment. His greatest joy was his wife and family. He was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Allen and Hortense Hale, brother Roger Hale (Kathy), sister Karen Jordan (Freddie), and a son-in-law Robert Yeary.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years Linda Jean Hale, daughters Crystal Yeary, Michelle Mahan, and Roberta Martin (Bruce), grandsons Wesley Yeary, and Isaiah Mahan, granddaughter Kaylee Mahan, and great grandson Xavier Mull. A sister Kathy Adams (Doug), a brother Allen Wayne Hale (Sharon), special in-laws, and a host of many nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
The family received friends Sunday, November 7 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Coeburn. Funeral service followed at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Les Ritchie officiating. Burial followed in the Greenwood Acres Cemetery, Coeburn.
