EDWARD ALLEN OWENS SR.

Edward Allen Owens Sr., 79, of Ypsilanti, MI, went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 24, 2021, after a brief illness.

He was a true friend, beloved father and husband. He retired from Ford Motor Company with 34 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Owens Sr., his mother, Maxie Baldwin Owens, his sister Wilma Owens Morris and his daughter-in-law, Lynda Baxter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ruth Salyers Owens; two sons, Edward Allen Owens Jr. and his wife Robin, and Stephen Owens, all of Ypsilanti, Mich.; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including Oakley Joseph Salyers of Norton, Va.

He was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
