IZETTA MARIE STANLEY STROUTH

Izetta Marie Stanley Strouth, 91, of Wise, put on immortality October 20, 2021 at her home. She was born in Clintwood, VA. She was a born again Christian and a dedicated and faithful member of Hubbard’s Chapel Church.

Mother loved her Savior, family, church family and many dear friends. Also she had a great love for gardening, especially growing tomatoes. She loved working in the garden and always shared her harvest with friends and neighbors. Although her life had many hard days, she always faced every challenge with a big beautiful smile. Adversity did not change her kind and loving heart. She enjoyed the simple things of life. Mere words cannot convey how much she will be missed…until we meet again.

Izetta was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Strouth; father, Taylor Stanley; Mother, Susie Stanley; siblings, Alta Mullins, Asia Mullins, Iowa Mullins, Ashley Stanley, Bertsy Stanley, Carlos Stanley, Mondo Stanley and Preston Stanley.

She is survived by her children, Mary Sue Dingus and husband Wendell, Lois Hibbitts and husband Billy, Earl Strouth and wife Melinda, Verl Strouth and wife Ruthann and Fred Strouth and wife Becky; grandchildren, Suzanne Ramsey and husband John, James “Ikey” Strouth and wife Lisa, Whitney Rogers and husband Lee, Kayla Carver and husband Robert, Hunter Strouth and fiancé’ Brynna Teal and Dalton Strouth and wife Hayleigh; great-grandchildren, Colton Ramsey and wife Allison, Emma Ramsey, Ethan Strouth, Cayden Strouth, Bella Rogers and Waylon Strouth (arriving January 2022) and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Izetta Strouth will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23 at the Sturgill Funeral Home chapel Wise with the Rev. Billy Hibbitts officiating. Burial will follow in the Strouth-Lane Cemetery, Pound. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. till services at 3:00 p.m. at Sturgill Funeral Home Wise.
