DARRELL WAYNE SANDERS

Darrell Wayne Sanders, 69, died Saturday evening, September 11, 2021at his home in Coeburn.

Darrell is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Helen Salyers Sanders of Coeburn three daughters, Joanna Davis and husband Anthony of Wise, Julie Robbins and husband Chris of Keokee, Jennifer Sanders and boyfriend Brandon Fleming of Coeburn; four sons, Jeremy Sanders of Coeburn, Justin Sanders and wife Lisa of Coeburn, Jerico Sanders and girlfriend Margaret Baker of Wise, Darrell Douglas Sanders and wife Brittany of Nora; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces.

Darrell is preceded in death by his father, Hansel James Sanders; mother, Katie Mae Shupe Sanders; sister, Kitty Phillips Darrell loved life and loved spending time with his family.

Darrell spent 38 years working in the coal mines and performing small engine repair. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The family received friends on Tuesday, September 14, at 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at Estes Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held, at 7:00 p.m. with Brother Roger McCoy officiating and Darrell’s nephew-in-law Casey Page to lead with singing.

The graveside service and burial were held on Wednesday, September 15, at Greenwood Cemetery in Coeburn.
