BILLY RAY HEABERLIN
Billy Ray Heaberlin, 88, went home to be with Jesus and reunited with Ann, the love of his life, on Friday, August 20. 2021, at his residence.
He loved the Lord, and was a faithful member of Glamorgan Chapel since November 1960, serving as a trustee, Boy Scout leader, youth leader and teacher.
Billy was a prayer warrior, praying daily for the needs of family and friends everywhere.
He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from the Wise County Department of Social Services after 25 years of service, during which time he impacted many young lives.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Green Heaberlin; parents, Elmer Heaberlin and Margaret Davidson Heaberlin; brothers, Norman Heaberlin and Woody Heaberlin; and sisters, Lynell H. Wells, Neva Jean H. Branham and Eleanor H. Mullett.
He leaves behind many special nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Faye Elliott and Ruby Wampler; a loving church family that will miss his faithful presence and influence; and he also leaves behind his fur babies, Sam, Teddy and Teresa.
Funeral services with Military Rites for Billy Heaberlin will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 24 at the Sturgill Funeral Home chapel in Wise with Pastor Greg Sergent officiating. Burial will follow in the Wise Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. till time of services at 6 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Glamorgan Chapel P.O. Box 1667 Wise, VA 24293.
