GERALDINE ‘GERRY’ TABOR O’BRYAN

Geraldine “Gerry” Tabor O’Bryan, 94, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Mt. View Long Term Care in Norton, VA. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that was loved by everyone who knew her.

Gerry was born in McComas, West Virginia and spent most of her life in the coalfields of West Virginia before moving to Norton. She worked at the Jenkinjones, WVA Company Store as a book keeper for 22 years and then she became assistant to the city treasurer in Norton, where she retired.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Merian O’Bryan; parents, Elbert and Pearl Hill Tabor; several brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Surviving are her daughter, Diana Roberts and husband John of Wise; son, Michael O’Bryan and wife Denise of Riner, VA; two grandsons, Cody Roberts and fiance’ Sara Arthur of Radford and Jarret Roberts and wife Maggie of Big Stone Gap; one granddaughter, Tabitha Bagnall and husband Matt of Riner; one step-granddaughter, Paige Jacobs and husband Paul of Minford, Ohio; a great-grandson, Benjamin Michael Bagnall; a great-granddaughter, Kyle Brielle Roberts; two step-great-grandsons, Connor Jacobs and fiance’ Hope and Parker Jacobs; one sister-in-law, Ann O’Bryan of Bristol, TN; two very special nieces, Pat Whitaker and Susan Valach who gave their time and love to help for her and a very loving and caring caregiver, Bobbie Meade; and several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
