• MountainRose Vineyards is proud to have been chosen by the SS United States Conservancy to help save America’s Flagship!The world’s fastest ocean liner, the SS United States is currently docked in Philadelphia as the Conservancy raises funds for her restoration. 

The ship debuted in 1952 and was originally christened with a Virginian sparkling wine. Local board member Elizabeth Fletcher suggested her hometown winery’s award-winning sparkling Kelliokee to represent the SSUS in this national promotion. The package includes two champagne flutes dipped in white chocolate by Virginia’s Finest Chocolates of Williamsburg and a bottle of Kelliokee featuring a commemorative label designed with the SSUS logo.

• Saturday, July 31: Join MountainRose in St. Paul at the Farmers Market for the annual Cooks and Books with local authors, tastings andsilent auction at 6 pm! Also in Big Stone Gap don’t miss the SWVA Museum’s free Irish in the Appalachians outdoor concert 6-8 pm!

• We are anticipating a great crop this year. In September we will post the opening date of our Annual Concord Grape U-Pick. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at this beloved vineyard tradition!
