SHELBY JEAN TAYLOR EVANS

Shelby Evans, 81, of Hermitage, PA, formerly of Coeburn, VA, passed away at 7:10 pm on February 14, 2021, in Quality Life Services, Mercer, PA after an extended illness.

Shelby was born September 9, 1939, in Dungannon, VA, to the late Ethel (Baldwin) and Woodrow (Roy) Taylor. Shelby cleaned several banks in Coeburn and Wise from the mid 1980s until her retirement in 1999. She attended Mary’s Chapel Church in Coeburn. In 2000, she moved with her daughter to Hermitage, PA.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina Stidham and her husband Jeff, of Hermitage, PA; grandson, Nate Stidham, of Hermitage and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Schilling and her husband, Colby, of Transfer, PA.

Shelby was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bill Evans, whom she married November 22, 1962 until his passing on February 22, 1969.

Burial will be in Greenwood Acres, Coeburn.
