CATHERINE MARIE MILES

Catherine Marie Miles, 85, of Wise, passed away at home Wednesday, January 27, 2021 peacefully in her sleep.

She has joined her husband Arnold in the Lord’s Kingdom.

She was of Pentecostal faith and a homemaker. Her unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior was a constant throughout her life. As a homemaker, Catherine was devoted to her family creating a warm, loving home for her husband, son and grandson. Catherine is dearly loved and will be missed always.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, James Arnold Miles; her parents, Richard and Mary Shumaker Ambergey; sisters, Ruth Vann and Ruby Wells; brothers, Junior Ambergey, Roy Amburgey, and Jim Amburgey.

Catherine is survived by her son, Marty Miles and wife Sandra of Johnson City, TN; grandson, Jesse Miles of Seattle, Washington; sister, Juanita Necessary; brother, Robert “Bob” Amburgey; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside committal service will be conducted at 12 p.m. Saturday, January 30 in the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton with Pastor Roger Sloce officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession. The family has requested no flowers.
