SAMUEL J. SLAUGHTER JR.
Samuel J. Slaughter Jr., of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021, in Johnson City.
He was born on February 6, 1951, the son of the late, Samuel and Belle (Hamilton) Slaughter. In addition to his parents, Samuel was preceded in death by his wife, Carole Sandra Humphrey Slaughter, his daughter, Sandra Marrena, and his niece, Rachael Leigh Barry.
Mr. Slaughter graduated from J.J. Kelly High School in Wise. He served his country in the United States Army, and worked as a surveyor for the state transportation department.
Those left to cherish Samuel’s memory include his sisters, Linda Barry (and her husband John), Pamela Sanders (and her partner Freddie), one brother, Jim Slaughter (and his wife Debbie), one grandson, Ryan Wilhelm, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. Military service honors will be conducted by the Boone Dam VFW Post 4933 of Kingsport, TN.
