Rolling Thunder chapter seeking support for ‘Wreaths Across America’ project

November 19, 2020

The local chapter of Rolling Thunder (RTTN#4) once again is collecting donations to place evergreen wreaths on the graves of deceased veterans, to show respect and appreciation during the December holidays.

The organization’s effort is part of the national “Wreaths Across America” project.

Graves of loved ones buried at the VA National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Johnson City, TN. may be honored with each donation. On Saturday, Dec. 19, the public is encouraged to help put wreaths on graves, starting at 9 a.m., as directed by the Mountain Home National Cemetery staff. Masks and social-distancing will be required of all participants. The wreaths will remain until early January.

If you would like to make a donation please make checks payable to Wreaths Across America and mail to P.O. Box 733, Norton, VA 24273.

The deadline for receipt of checks is Thursday, Nov. 26. The cost per wreath is $15, all tax-deductible.
