JIMMIE BENSON

Jimmie Miller Barbour Benson, 76, of Norton, died Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.
She was preceded in death by her mother Sallie Miller Barbour and a son Dale, and brother Herman.
Jimmie was the devoted wife of her dear husband, Duard Benson. She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Country music, listening to “good ol’ hymns” and her favorite TV programs were some of her favorite pastimes, too.
Other surviving family include her children: Janice, Susan, Timothy, Michael, and George, and a granddaughter, Heather, all from various parts of Virginia.

The family received friends from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8 at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Her funeral service followed at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed the funeral at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton
