RONNIE DEAN RINER

Ronnie Dean Riner, 79, of Wise, (affectionately known as Uncle Fudd) entered into eternal rest on Tuesday on November 3, 2020 from his home with family and friends by his side.

Ronnie was a Christian of the Baptist faith. He had attended church his whole life. Ronnie was a very talented man, he made his living as a mechanic and preparation plant foreman, having worked for nearly 16 years for Bethlehem Coal and 18 years for Humphreys Enterprises.

Ronnie also loved music, especially Celtic music and church hymns. He was quite accomplished on the guitar, banjo and keyboard. Ronnie also loved being in his garage and riding motorcycles. But his biggest joy was the time he spent with his family, especially his grandkids.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his son Dean Allen Riner; his parents Robert and Ruby (Bailey) Riner; and a sister Emma Williams.

Survivors include the love of his life for 60+ years his wife Lois (Gilley) Riner; two granddaughters Amy Beth Riner of Blountville, Utah and Holly Marie Croce and husband Alec of New Jersey; one great-grandson Dean Andrew Croce; former daughter-in-law Donna Eads of Pulaski; brothers-in-law, Paul Gilley (Clara) of Pound, Glendale Gilley (Judy) of Nicklesville and Randall Williams of Roswell, GA; sister-in-law Judy Clawson (LC) of Wise; several nieces and nephews; special friends Kat and Connie Adams who loved and respected his strong faith; and friends too numerous to count.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 pm Friday November 6, in the Baker Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Stacy Vanover and Elder Stacy Potter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until time of services.

We will be following stat mandated occupancy and social distancing standards. Masks must be worn at all times and will not be provided by the family or the funeral home.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 pm Saturday, November 7, at the Gilley Family Cemetery in Pound where Brett Gilley, Trevor Boggs, George Dean, Marty Clawson, Glen Bendall, Sonny Gilley and David Osborne will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Professor Phil Shelton, Whitney Bolling, L C Clawson. Paul Gilley and Junior Gilley. Family and friends are asked to meet at Baker Funeral Home by noon to prepare to go in procession to the cemetery.
