Union's Castle named VHSL Coach of the Year

Union’s girls’ and boys’ cross-country coach, Mark Castle, has been named the VHSL boys coach of the year. Castle received district and regional coach of the year honors for the last two years. The Bear boys placed first at last year’s district meet and regional meets, earning a perfect score at regions, before moving on to win the 2A state meet. Coach Castle will now be considered by the National Federation of State High School Associations for further honors at sectional and national levels.
