County school start goes all-remote

During an emergency meeting Monday, Wise County School Board voted 6-2 to begin the school year remotely. From Thursday, Aug. 20 until Friday, Sept. 18, students will attend via a virtual environment. The board also approved to move its monthly meeting to Tuesday, Sept. 15 to discuss the health metrics at that point.
