COVID CASE RISE

This week Wise County has seen a significant rise in COVID 19 cases. As we see a rise in cases I encourage everyone to be cautious, wear your mask, and wash your hands. Our small town of Pound has also seen a rise in cases. It is for this reason that many of our local churches have once again relied on other means to spread the gospel.

This week we saw online services from Hamilton Chapel, and Pound UMC. We also know that Glady Fork was able to do a wonderful outdoor service at Camp Jacob. It’s time that we get creative in our worship. No matter how we must do it we can still serve and worship The Lord!

SYMPATHY EXTENDED

In the last week there have been several families to suffer the loses of loved ones, and our prayers go out to those families. Among those are the families of Patricia Philips, Aleta Osborne, and Emily Mullins. It is always hard to lose someone you love, and the restrictions from COVID make it even harder. We are praying for you all and sending all our love.

PRAY FOR CHILDREN, SCHOOLS, front line workers

I know that we all want our lives to go back to normal, and that we are tired of living in fear. Now is a time to come together as the body of Christ and pray for one another whole heartily. It is so hard on so many people right now physically and mentally.

Please pray for all of our front line workers and their families. Also, we need to be much in prayer for our children and our school employees as they return back to school. It is a scary time, but God will be with us in all our endeavors.
