Anita Ingle, 86, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the Heritage Hall Health Care in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.

She was of the Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Ingle; two daughters, Debbie Ingle and Linda Jackson; her granddaughter, Candace Gibson; her parents, Anderson and Lucinda Sturgill Short; several sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Surviving are a son, Michael Wayne Ingle and wife Amy of Norton; three daughters, Tammy Swiney and husband Tyler of Big Stone Gap, Elizabeth Gibson and husband Dennis of Coeburn, and Tracy Hill and husband Tim of Norton; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Anita Ingle will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 30 at the Sturgill Funeral Home chapel in Wise with Bro. Ronnie Collins Jr. and Pastor Mike Hunsucker officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 30 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise. Graveside committal services and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 31 in the Addington-Hensley Cemetery in Wise. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession.

In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made in memory of her daughter, Linda Jackson, to the Southwest Virginia Cancer Center Patient Assistance Fund - 671 HWY 58 East, Norton, VA 24273.
