LLOYD JONES SR.

Lloyd Jones Sr., 80, of Wise, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at his residence.

He was of the Pentecostal faith, was a retired coal miner from Westmoreland Coal Co. after 20 years of service and he enjoyed fishing with his wife.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Connie Jones; parents, Robert and Lora Jones; brothers, Paul Jones and Glenn Jones; and a sister, Charlene Jones.

Surviving are two sons, Allen Jones and wife Jackie and Chris Jones and wife Sharon; a daughter, Sherrie Jones and Jeff Estep; grandchildren, Darius Jones and wife Heather and Aaron Jones; great-grandchildren, Austin Miller and Chloe Jones; sisters, Charlotte Gardner, Betty Jones and Janice Maxie; brother, Jerry Jones and wife Barbara; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Lloyd Jones Sr. will be conducted at 7 p.m.. Wednesday, June 17 at the Lighthouse Family Worship Center 145 Lake Street NW Wise, VA 24293 with Pastor Roger Barker officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until time of services at the church. Graveside committal services and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18 in the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church to go to cemetery in procession. We will be following State mandated social distancing and occupancy.
