ANN GISH

Ann Gish, 67, of Wise, VA, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.

Ann was the daughter of the late Thomas and Patricia Burnett Gish.

Surviving are two brothers, Ben Gish of Thornton and Ray Gish (Steve) of Brooklyn, New York; two sisters: Sarah Oakes (Freddy) of Thornton and Kitty Gish (Doug) of Mayking, KY; four nieces and nephews, Tommy Oakes (Julie), Sally Oakes, Drew Raleigh and Meg Raleigh; and two great nephews, Grant Edward Barto and John Thomas Oakes.

Ann was a 1970 graduate of Whitesburg High School and a 1974 graduate of the University of Kentucky. She was an avid UK sports fan, and a voracious reader.

Ann was a social worker in Wise County, VA for more than 25 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Wise, where she sang in the choir.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 27 at 2 p.m. at Letcher Funeral Home chapel with Phillip Bates officiating. Private burial followed.
