CHRISTINA ANNE MULLINS

Christina Anne Mullins, 46, of Pound, left on her journey to Heaven Saturday January 25, 2020 from the University of Virginia Medical Center-Charlottesville, VA after an extended illness. Her husband Stephen and father Rev. Danny Mullins were by her side.

Christina was a born again Christian and a member of Davis Chapel Freewill Baptist Church-Norton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Christina enjoyed crafts, family vacations, especially going to the beach, watching Golden Girls and The Andy Griffith Show on TV. She had a special place in her heart for animals, didn’t matter what kind, she loved them all, especially her chihuahua Rico. But spending time with her family and friends was something she always looked forward to doing.

Christina as preceded in death by her father-in law Curtis Mullins.

Survivors include her husband Stephen Mullins of Pound; her daughter, Patience Mullins of Pound; her parents, Reverend Danny and Freida (Carter) Mullins of Pound; a grandson, Warren Carter; a brother, Kevin Mullins of Pound; nephew Kent Mullins and wife Tessa of Big Stone Gap; niece Kayla Mullins of Pound; great nephews, Chance Mullins and William Roach; great nieces, Ava Mullins, Aubree Mullins and Gracie Bright; special uncle Linville Bowman; several aunts, uncles and cousins; her church family; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 pm Wednesday, January 29 in the Baker Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Bill Craft officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until time of services.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 am Thursday, January 30 at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton where family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at Baker Funeral Home by 10 am to prepare to go in procession to the cemetery.
