CHRISTINE SMITH

Mrs. Christine Smith, 68, longtime resident of Wise Virginia, passed away peacefully Friday, January 17, 2020 at the Norton Community Hospital in Norton.

She retired from Norton Elementary School Cafeteria after 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy D. Smith of Wise; her mother, Delores Goodman; father, Theodore Stevenson of Buffalo NY; brother, Bobby Stevenson; and sister, Sandra Stevenson.

Survivors include her son, Joe Smith; daughter, Kimberly Croley and husband Chris of Wise; her grandchildren, JC Croley, Falyn Croley, Kristin Smith and Tiara Smith; great-grandchildren, Shayleigh Merritt, Willow Stamper, Lilly and Cole Mcglothlin; two brothers, Theodore Stevenson and Wade Stevenson; two sisters, Lynn Carpenter and Kim Stevenson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would also like to recognize the Southwest Virginia Cancer center for their hard work and continued care that they provide.

Family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, January 20 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise. Burial will be private and held at a later date.
