PATTY LYNN CHANDLER

Patty Lynn McKinney Chandler, 68, of Big Stone Gap, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.

She was a member of the Cedar Ridge Freewill Baptist Church and served as Sunday school teacher for over 40 years. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and a wonderful friend who will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her father, Brown McKinney; brother, Ralph McKinney; and daughter, Caramilita Vicars.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Jack Chandler; daughter, Jackie Barker, Big Stone Gap; grandchildren, Clay Barker, Adam Swinney and Ashley Swinney; mother, Hazel McKinney; brothers, Eddie McKinney (Beverly), Roger McKinney (Janice) and Terry McKinney (Cathy), all of Big Stone Gap; sister-in-law, Deanna McKinney, Big Stone Gap; and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 9 at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Avenue, W., Big Stone Gap. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10 at Cedar Ridge Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor James Holcomb officiating.
Burial will follow at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap with Adam Swinney officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family requests, instead of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Cedar Ridge Freewill Baptist Church Sunday School Fund, P. O. Box 746, Big Stone Gap, Va. 24219.
