Wilburn Lester Jackson, 90, of Kingsport, TN/Coeburn, VA, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the Holston Valley Medical Center Kingsport, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Hinkle Jackson and several siblings. He was retired miner and member of the UMWA and former employee of the Clinchfield Coal Company and Bullion Hollow Coal Company. He attended the Banner Revival Center in Coeburn.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Shirley Kiser Jackson; a son, Tommy (Vickie) Jackson of Coeburn; two daughters, Rebecca (Wayne) Dotson of Coeburn, and Deborah Wade of Big Stone Gap; his twin brother, Milburn (Drucilla) Jackson of Coeburn; a sister, Janice Goodwin of Canton, Ohio; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019 at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn. Funeral services followed at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. R.L. Crawford officiating. Burial follow in the Jackson Cemetery, Sandy Ridge section of Coeburn.
