MINI-REUNION

Pound High School Class of ’66 is having a get-together on Dec. 20 at Pizza Plus. Let Janice Bolling or Herb Short know if you can attend.

SOCIALIZING

On Thursday night December 5, Gayle Kilgore invited her friends Sharon and Gerry Powell to join her at the concert of Symphony of the Mountains. Gayle tries to attend this each year to begin her holiday celebration. Sharon and Gerry loved it and plan to try to attend next year. Attendance overall was extremely good.

On Friday, Dec. 6, Imogene Sturgill took Irene Adams and Gayle Kilgore to Reno’s to celebrate their birthdays. The three of them had a marvelous time.

CHURCH NEWS

Sister Joyce Igo will be ministering on Sunday, Dec. 15 at Lone Pine Chapel in the Almira section of the Pound during the 11 a.m. service. Brother Steve Freeman will deliver the message. Come worship.

On Sunday, Dec. 8, Cheyenne and Mathew Mullins were baptized at Pound United Methodist Church. The church was packed. Drake Brock sang “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem”. Randy Shortt led the congregation in an action song entitled “Came out of the Wilderness”. Everyone enjoyed that. Then, Candace Shortt and Lora Mullins sang a couple of songs. Finally, as part of the special music, Randy Carter joined the two ladies in a song.

On December 15, Pound United Methodist Church will celebrate Christmas. After the morning service, a fellowship dinner will be in the fellowship hall. Come enjoy the Christmas season. The children will present their Christmas play under the direction of Vanda Lawson on December 22.Come and celebrate the birth of the Christ Child.
