Pictures with Santa

Join us for pictures with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Petsense in Norton. You will receive a printed 4x6 photo for $10. Pets, kids and families are all welcome.

Santa at the cidery

Old Saint Nick and his wife will be at the cidery on Sunday, Dec. 8 beginning at 5 p.m. Kids will be able to talk to them, and parents will have the opportunity to take their pictures with Santa at no charge. This event is in conjunction with the Norton parade, which will begin at 6 p.m.

Spirit of Giving

Spirit of Giving concert featuring Kaitlyn Baker will be held Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. at J.W. Adams Combined School in Pound. Admission is a donation to Family Crisis Support Services. This is a nonprofit organization that helps victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and homelessness in our area. All donations will go to help the shelter and victims in need. This is a great way to give back this holiday season!

Food Bank

The Food Bank of Wise County had record numbers for November 2019. We still have December to provide. Thanks to all who have given food and money to ensure we can provide. We are giving a $15 meat voucher to all families for Christmas. If you would like to purchase a voucher to be given please send a check to Food Bank of Wise County P. O. Box 2977 Wise, Va 24293. Coeburn Christmas parade

Come join us for the Christmas parade in Coeburn, Friday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. Line up will begin at 5:15 p.m. at Food City in Marty Shopping Center. We invite all churches, businesses, organizations, pageant winners and individuals. The theme is “12 Days of Christmas”. Prizes will b awarded, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Al-Anon group meetings

A new Al-Anon Family Group meets in Norton on Mondays at noon at All Saints Episcopal Church in the Parish Hall, “The Parlor” room. Please enter at the back of the church. The church is located at 1025 Virginia Ave NW, Norton. The group also meets on Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. at the Wesley Foundation, 9304 Coeburn Mountain Road, Wise.
