JOAN SKEEN KISER

Joan Skeen Kiser, 88, a resident of the Wise Heritage Hall; passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Norton Community Hospital in Norton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah W. Kiser Jr.

Joan was a Coeburn High School graduate and a graduate of Clinch Valley College; a member of the Community Freewill Baptist Church and was a former employee of the Marty Corporation.

Surviving are her daughter, Angie (Ferlin) Cooke of Coeburn; two grandchildren, Justin Palmer and Emily Palmer of Coeburn; a special caregiver, Terrie Taylor; several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Coeburn. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Marty Puckett officiating.

Graveside Services were conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 at the Kiser Cemetery, Kiser Road, Coeburn.
