BERNARD RAY SALYERS

Bernard Ray Salyers, 70, went home to be with the Lord  Tuesday evening, October 15, 2019 at his residence in Coeburn, Virginia.

He was a retired employee of A & G Coal company, also proudly served in the U.S. Air Force Veteran in Vietnam. He and his brothers, in their younger days, enjoyed racing cars and motorcycles.

He was the son of the late Berlin Salyers and Bertha Mae “Susie” Gunnoe Salyers and a brother, Kenneth E. Salyers.

He leaves his loving wife, Christine Hayes Salyers, son, Michael Hayes and fiancee, Tracey Huffman; two step grandchildren, Tanasia and Maleigha; three sisters, Carol (Walter) Graham, Sandra (Larry) Adkins and Sheila (Curtis) Hileman; two brothers, Larry (Dianne) Salyers and Danny Salyers, also his extended family two brothers, Doug (Sheila) Hayes and Darrell (Brenda) Hayes; sister, Linda Hayes  and several nieces and nephews. His dogs and cats.

Per Bernard’s wishes, he was cremated and there will be no service.
