Historical Society of The Pound members Brenda Salyers and Paul and Chances Varson are well versed in the area’s history. On the day of the unveiling of Civil War Trails markers, the Varsons gave the county a copy of the deed to the land, which at one time had been part of their own Sunnydale Farm, more than 100 years old.
