Teddy Huff stands beside the new Norton municipal recycling bin located at Huff’s Auto Care, 398 Park Avenue NE. It is open to the public at all times. The bin will accept plastic 1 and 2, paper and aluminum; please wash out plastic and aluminum containers and remove lids from plastic containers. Huff says he urged city recycling coordinator Michele Knox to put the bin there. According to Huff, his family started recycling at home and it became a passion for him. Now, the shop recycles every piece of metal, plastic and cardboard it can, and waste oil is used to fuel the shop’s boiler for winter heat.
