Convocation center hosts first public event

When the floor-to-ceiling curtains are raised in the arena, visitors can see from the entrance all the way to a bank of windows overlooking the lake on campus. The curtains can be repositioned to accommodate different sizes and kinds of events. RICHARD MEADE PHOTO.
