Town of Wise officials, from left, Councilman Jeff Dotson, Vice Mayor Caynor Smith, Mayor Erra Sutherland and Town Manager Beverly Owens, accepted the Virginia Municipal League’s 2012 Achievement Award last month for the town’s work in developing Big Glades Community Square. The award was presented during the league’s annual conference in Williamsburg.
