Friday’s all-day freezing rain left a coating of ice on vehicles, roads, streets, parking lots and buildings, paralyzing the region until Saturday brought sunshine and above-freezing temperatures. The frigid precipitation added to problems left over from snow and ice caused by a massive fast-moving storm the week before.
