U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, recently met with students from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise to talk about health care policy and what he hopes to get done in this Congress. Kaine discussed his bill, Medicare-X, which would create a public plan to offer families, individuals, and small businesses more low-cost health insurance options and guarantee essential health benefits.
