The Southwest Virginia All-Stars swept the East Tennessee All-Stars 5-0 and 6-0 in a doubleheader played Saturday in Abingdon in the FCA Senior Softball Challenge. Recent Union High School graduate Demi Reynolds was named as the MVP in the first game, while Abingdon’s Logan Viers was named as the MVP in the second game. Clintwood’s Kelsey Conley had two doubles in the second game to help the West to the win. Other local standouts who played well for the Virginia squad included Union’s Natasha Smith, Eastside’s Samantha Cole and Haysi’s Anna Davis.
